Wednesday, Jammu and Kashmir Government welcome Indo-Pak peace talk saying, the peace process is quite significant for state. State cabinet met under Chief Minister Mehbooda Mufti.

‘’ The State cabinet welcomes the resumption of foreign secretary level talks between India and Pakistan and lead role played by PM Narenda Modi carrying forwards of peace process. Jammu and Kashmir, has been the main victim of hostilities’’, Said Education Minister and state government spokesperson Maeem Akhtar.

‘’ we look forward to sustained effort to bring peace in region and J&K in particular’’, he added.

The cabinet also hailed PM Narenda Modi’s efforts to revive the peace process in region. ‘’ the cabinet observed that while peace process between India and Pakistan is of great significant for the whole South Asian Region and it would be very comfort if Indo-Pak peace talk provide a solution for J&K. It has the greatest impact on Jammu and Kashmir which faces the maximum burnt because of Indo-Pak hostilities’’, Akhtar said.

Department of industries and commerce to work out for establishing bankings facilities for cross LoC trade, Reserve Bank of India to institutionalize the cross LoC trade through proper banking mechanism and doing away with the present system, He said.

Tourism in Jammu and Kashmir

Jammu and Kashmir has been most important state for the tourism category and government also implemented different infrastructure for promotion of border tourism. Government has decided to develop tourism infrastructure at Suchetgrah and Chamlyal in Jammu region.

Cabinet also approved a road map for implementation of the interest subvention scheme for food-hit traders under PM’s special package.

State’s planning and Development Department will properly channelize the development funds and ensure its gainful utilization. P&D will have five divisions, Development Strategy, Project Formulation Division, Area Planning Division, Project Monitoring and Evalution Division and Coordination Division.

Government also approved KPS services under ambit of Cabinet Sub-Committee and also approved induction of officers from various feeding services into KAS.
