I know that there are some health issues that you just want to forget about. The thought of sharing them with anyone even your doctor, makes you want to crawl up into a little ball and bury yourself where no one can see you. However, you have to take your health seriously if you want to live a long and happy life, especially if you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms:

Painful Sex

If it hurts when you’re having sex, when it should feel good, you should see your doctor asap. Not only will doing so help you to get a resolution and start enjoying your time in the bedroom again, but painful sex could be a symptom of endometriosis, cervical cancer, an STI or even a condition known as phimosis if you’re a man, which can be sure with a simple adult circumcision. In fact, most of the causes of painful sex can be cured or managed fairly simply, so you’ll be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t see a doctor.

Erectile Dysfunction

Similarly, if you’re experiencing erectile function, you need to see a doctor, not only for the good of your sex life. But because you could be suffering from heart disease. Diabetes or even penile cancer.

Extreme Sweating

If you sweat buckets and it’s very obvious that you’re sweating, you could be suffering from a medical condition like hyperhidrosis. Sadly, most men, in particular. Ignore this issue and let it continue, trying to mask the problem with ineffective deodorants. There is no need to do this when a simple trip to the doctor could see you being prescribed an effective treatment like an iontophoresis.

Nipple Issues

Whether you’re a man or a woman, if you notice that your nipples have started to leak, changed shape or developed lumps, run to the doctor’s surgery right now because you could be suffering from a form of breast cancer. If you’re a woman, you might also be suffering from an excess of prolactin, and that can lead to a range of conditions, including osteoporosis if left unchecked.

Unusual Smells

Perhaps the most embarrassing of all is the emergence of embarrassing smells down below. Talking to your doctor about such an issue can be embarrassing, to say the least, but be reassured by the fact it’s a common problem they’ll have dealt with a million times before.

It’s important you get unpleasant odors checked out because they can be linked to Candida infections. STIs and bacterial vaginosis amongst other things.

Peeing Yourself

If you are a woman, then there is a one in three chance that you might develop incontinence at some point in your life. Despite this, a lot of women avoid seeing a medical professional about the issue, which is a shame because it can be so easy to deal with the issue with some simple pelvic exercises. If that doesn’t work, minor surgery to have a bladder sling installed by a surgeon will probably do the trick.

If you have any of these embarrassing health problems, suck it up, see the doctor and start getting better!
