Amitabh Bachchan’s Next Film is going to be his third film with the filmmaker Shoojit Sirkar. Before Amitabh Bachchan’s Next Film, Amitabh Bachchan and Shoojit Sirkar have done ‘Shoebite’ and ‘Piku’ together.
‘Shoebite’ is yet to be released but Amitabh Bachchan’s performance in ‘Piku’ gained him a number of awards for being a cranky ageing father. Both the films are Amitabh Bachchan’s and Soojit Sircar’s films together where Soojit has worked as a director. But Amitabh Bachchan’s Next Film is going to be their first film together with Soojit Sircar as a producer.
While announcing about Amitabh Bachchan’s Next Film, he also informed his fans that his much-appreciated film ‘Bombay to Goa’ has completed 44 years. ‘Bombay to Goa’ was directed by S. Ramanathan. Amitabh also shared the images of old school treatment posters of the adventure-comedy film ‘Bombay to Goa’ and remembered the good old days. He also shared on his private blog that ‘Bombay to Goa’ was somewhat a remake of a Tamil film.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “The remake of Tamil film ‘Madras to Pondicherry’ starring that great comedian Nagesh from Tamil cinema… Nagesh an iconic name and legendary presence in the South. His fame at times bigger than the hero stars of the day.”
He added, “Mehmood bhai chose to remake it. He being equally if not more in presence in Hindi cinema, his presence in film gave it huge star value…those were the times. For some reason he always believed in me. He would address me as ‘Danger Diabolic’. I never asked him why and how he arrived at this name…but it did.”
The film also starred actors Aruna Irani, Shatrughan Sinha and Mehmood.
